As soon as I move the z axis up, I can no longer move it any more down. I get an error endstop hit. How can I resolve this
That looks like an endstop (Z probe) problem.
- Check that you have plugged the Z endstop in the right pin, Z MIN.
- If the probe is working and connected to the correct pin, it can also be that that endstop is not well configured in the firmware (there are two types of endstops in this regards and yours can be the one not supported by default). In this case,
- Check that the endstop is giving the right signal by sending the printer a M114 G CODE (“Get endstop status”). The Z MIN (Z probe) endstop should only be in the TRIGGERED state when detecting the bed.
- If your probe works just the other way, you have to change this line in the firmware: https://github.com/M-Prime/M_Prime_One/blob/master/firmware/Marlin/Configuration.h#L350
